He was honoured by the Government of India, in 2013, by Padma Shri, for his contributions to the field of art. Brahmdeo Pandit founded Pandit Art Ceramic, a manufacturing unit of modest proportions, in 1981, at Bhayandar, a city in Thane district of Maharashtra.
